NOW HIRING - PROJECT SUPERVISOR

 

Streamline Mechanical Ltd. has been providing a wide range of construction services primarily to industrial clients for over 25 years.  We have successfully completed both small projects and large contracts valued at over $20 million.  We provide quality service and expertise for all types of civil and mechanical work for commercial and industrial sites.  We perform work involving road construction and maintenance, earth works, civil construction and general site services.

 

We are currently looking for a Project Supervisor for a project located in the Fort McMurray area. The successful candidate will report directly to the Project Manager.  The Project Supervisor is responsible for the provision of field services in accordance with project requirements.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure construction and earthworks are progressing according to project schedule and in accordance with safety, quality and cost requirements
  • Ensure the required equipment and materials are available on-Site
  • Direct day-to-day work and manage labor forces
  • Ensure worker compliance with safety and quality programs
  • Assist with the determination of appropriate construction methods according to job specifications
  • Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects
  • Manage field execution in accordance with contract documents
  • Be knowledgeable about Construction standards and regulations
  • Regularly communicate work progress, schedule variance, crew and safety performance to the Project Manager
  • Perform work site inspections monitoring safety and quality of work
  • Attend all project review meetings
  • Conduct regular safety meetings
  • Develop a productive and positive working rapport with project team members and general workforce

It is anticipated that this position will be performed on a rotational shift basis and flights in and out and camp accommodations will be provided.

 

The successful candidate will have an in depth understanding of the various disciplines involved in the construction process, an ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and experience with the supervision of earthworks, road and pad construction and facility maintenance.  Excellent communication skills and an ability to motivate a successful labor force are a must.  At least 15 years experience is required.
